Banlieues Santé organizes emergency actions to meet the health needs of people living in priority neighborhoods. The association also provides reception, training and awareness-raising facilities on health issues for residents of these areas.
41
%
of residents of priority neighbourhoods forego healthcare, compared with 30% in other neighbourhoods
37
%
fewer self-employed healthcare professionals in priority neighbourhoods than in other neighbourhoods
45
%
of residents in priority neighbourhoods have a health problem

Solution

Banlieues Santé works for quality healthcare and access to health information for all.

To achieve this goal, the association has developed two types of action:
  • In the short term, with the implementation of emergency aid: distribution of hygiene kits, access to an ophthalmological consultation and a free pair of glasses, awareness-raising actions.
  • In the long term, with a range of support programs designed to help local residents take charge of their own health: the Café des Biens-Aînés, the Café des Femmes and the project for a Health Center in Marseille.

The money will be used for

  • Opening of the first health center in Marseille and spin-off in Ile de France
  • Opening of Women's Cafés in every department of Ile de France
  • Training of 50 new Health Ambassadors per region
  • Opening of Women's Cafés in Rhône-Alpes and Hauts de France
  • Professional integration of Health Ambassadors in our health centers, in companies and municipalities
  • Launch of action research on the link between women's employment and improved family health
.
Solidarity and proximity as the starting point for our commitment.
