Challenge

In France, young women are over-represented among the victims of domestic violence: 1 in 7 people under the age of 25 experience violence, compared with 1 in 10 for all age groups combined.

We note, however, that they make very little use of existing support (reception structures, telephone numbers...), and tend instead to seek help in writing, on the internet, through forums for example. The answers to their questions are not provided by professionals, and are even sometimes malicious and/or guilt-inducing, whereas these people need support.

Solution

The association's teams obviously respond to all those who feel the need, but wish to focus their communication actions on this young audience considered to be "off the radar".

Recent result

In 2022, more than 5,000 conversations were carried out by the En avant toute(s) team. The majority of chat users are young women under the age of 26.

The money will be used for

To provide a professional, caring response over wide time slots to an often vulnerable public, the En avant toute(s) teams are salaried employees of the association. The funds raised will be used to pay the people who respond to victims every day, both for their response time (from 10am to 00am Monday to Thursday, and from 10am to 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays), and for their ongoing training.

Goal

The aim with this aid is to be able to carry out 500 conversations with women who are victims of violence thanks to the Commentonsaime.fr chat in 1 year. The aim is to: listen to them, believe them, reassure them and advise them on the steps to take to get better and get out.
