Today, there are no facilities dedicated to women and children who are victims of domestic violence in Sud-Essonne... The creation of a "Maison des Femmes" in this "white zone" therefore seems to us essential to meet the needs of victims and remove the many obstacles specific to these rural areas.
Located near Étampes, this center will also be tasked with raising public awareness and training local players in the social, legal and health fields.

%Feminicide occurs in rural areas... even though only 1/3 of French women live there. They are therefore 2x more exposed to feminicide!

Solution
The creation of the Maison des Femmes - LEAO Sud-Essonne will enable:
-protect and accommodatewomen victims of domestic violence and their children
-provide specialized supportto get out of the violence path
-lead workshops and collective actions to rebuild themselves
-create a living space to break isolation
.Use of the money
The funds raised will be used:
- in investment: for compliance work at the venue
- in operation: for raising awareness among citizens and training local social, legal and health actors

Good reception, support and accommodation conditions are essential in the process of leaving domestic violence behind, enabling women victims to rebuild their lives and build a better future.
