Follow the construction of our Café - Centre de Préparation à l'Emploi de KSH, an innovative initiative supporting the autonomy and integration of young Cambodian adults with intellectual disabilities. By funding our café, you are investing in vocational training, the promotion of artisanal products and the financial autonomy of our organization.
We still need 40% more funding to accomplish this project towards the autonomy of our young people and the financial autonomy of our community.
Every donation helps change lives and build a more inclusive future. Thank you for your support!

 Kampuchea Sëla Handicap (KSH) aims to develop its actions over the long term as some of our beneficiaries, because of their disability or because they are without family will remain with us for the rest of their lives. This means that our organization must be able to anticipate and manage its resources and expenses sustainably, while offering diversity in our therapeutic & educational programs to increase our beneficiaries' autonomy over time.
The ultimate goal of our global project is to ensure, in time, financial autonomy & food self-sufficiency through the development of our educational program, with the aim of meeting 40% to 50% of our operating budget within 3 to 5 years and 80% within 10 years.

This dossier concerns one of these 3 projects, namely a

Open a Coffee Shop  on the site of our organization as a training center for catering professions, a showroom for our confectionery products and a window on society to prepare our residents for life in the community while enabling the public to discover our beneficiaries in their living and working environment.

- The priority is to develop a new activity where all our residents can find their place and contribute to its success;

- A transitional stage to train some of our residents to work "Hors les murs" in our partner restaurants/cafés in Phnom Penh ;

- A new means of communication to promote our artisanal products (jams and syrups) and for our visitors to discover our residents in their living and working environment ;

- Generate additional income while limiting social enterprise expenses (coffee on our organization's website);

- Raise awareness of disability among the local population, showing them that people with mental disabilities are capable of contributing to local society in their own way.

Through this project, we plan to generate annual income to finance up to 20% of our organization's operating budget.
Support us in this new step towards the empowerment and integration into society, of our residents, young Cambodian adults, with intellectual disabilities!

The jam complies with health standards, and we're moving ahead with the commercial development of our workshop and the financial autonomy of our organization!

After a year of renovating and bringing our protected jam factory-workshop up to standard, we have signed a sales agreement with a local distributor who will be responsible for marketing our jams and syrups throughout Cambodia!
Thanks to this sales agreement, we plan to be able to finance 30 to 40% of our organization's operating budget by the end of 2025!

The second stage in the professionalization of our jam factory has been completed: the purchase of equipment!
