Challenge
ChildhoodEquality
The Institut de l'Engagement project is part of the French context of low social mobility and the undermining of equal opportunities.
While periods of commitment enable young people from all social backgrounds to demonstrate remarkable qualities, and the number of young people wishing to make a commitment is growing rapidly, there are no arrangements in place to value and recognize such skills.
These young people are often faced with difficult access to courses of excellence and employment, despite having the qualities required to succeed in these paths.

Solution
The Institute gives back to young people who have revealed themselves through a period of commitment, the opportunities that the current system no longer offered them.
Individual and collective support is offered to them as part of 2 paths:
The "laureates" program, to which young people must apply. It lasts one year and provides access to top-quality training at Sciences Po or Ecole de Commerce on preferential terms (fee exemption, direct eligibility for oral exams, etc.).The mentoring program lasts 6 months and is accessible at any time of the year.
Use of the money
1 year of support for a prizewinner: 4,000 euros
6 months of support for a mentee: 500 euros
These costs mainly include the working time of the support teams and pedagogical support, but also communication costs (making oneself known to young people and partners), fundraising and structural costs.

Without the Institute, I would never have had the keys to follow my dream.
