The organization Sistech
Training women refugees in the tech industry
In order to change the game and not let their skills and talents go to waste, we have co-constructed a support program exclusively for displaced women (refugees, asylum seekers and subsidiary and temporary protection) with them. This program takes into account the particularities of women (dependent children, self-censorship, etc.) cumulated with the obstacles relating to their administrative status (no right to work, no access to private housing, no driving license, no diploma recognition, lack of mastery of the French language, etc.)
What will my donation be used for?
Refugee women experience twice the unemployment rate of refugee men, despite having on average twice the level of qualifications. Doctors, accountants, journalists or lawyers in their countries of origin, they often find themselves confined to long-term unemployment or precarious jobs in Europe. This downgrading affects almost one woman in two, and represents a loss of prospects for these women, but also a dry loss of talent for society.
As the new school year gets underway, at a time when many are returning to school, Sistech is accompanying refugee women in new digital learning and towards retraining... and you can join us!"
Donations will fund:
